No outward service, even in that which is required by God, can be a substitute for an obedient life. The Creator desires heart service of his creatures. ~EGW

You can not accept grace and deny love or vice versa, both are sides of a coin. Without grace we can not start relationships with God and without love we can not maintain the relationship.

It is the grace that give time to repent. It is grace that if accepted will get power to overcome sin. Likewise it is the love that inspires to abide in Christ to produce the fruits of obedience.

The two commandments which Christ indicated are two great principles springing from one root. The first cannot be kept and the second broken, nor the second kept while the first is broken. ~EGW

God must reign supreme in the mind and heart. ~EGW

Self love, love of the world, or an undue affection for any created thing, is idolatry in the sight of God. ~EGW

The purpose of the Scripture is to enlighten to you. Not you to enlighten the Scripture.

Those who make Him (Jesus Christ) their foundation rest in perfect security. ~EGW

Without love we can not abide in Christ. And without grace of God we can not love Christ. Its is grace that puts enmity towards sin and the lover of sin can not love God.
