In a concerted effort to lay the groundwork for foundational Christian principles among children aged 0 to 3, the Sabbath School Department has joined forces with the Children's Ministries of the General Conference to introduce the Alive in Jesus Global Curriculum Lesson.

The Alive in Jesus Bible curriculum endeavors to equip and empower parents, caregivers, Sabbath School teachers, leaders, and all individuals involved in the upbringing of children and youth. Its goal is to serve as a model for fostering and nurturing a vibrant relationship with Jesus within their respective spheres of influence.

The curriculum emphasizes three fundamental pillars: grace, character development, and church mission. This initiative responds to the growing trend of children gravitating towards digital environments, with limited online Adventist resources accessible. Research within the Adventist community has revealed concerning trends, including a significant percentage of members doubting creation beliefs and various interpretations of Adventist doctrine, leading to confusion and division within the church.

This initiative is dedicated to supporting children's foundational beliefs about Jesus, encouraging the development of God-fearing character. It operates in collaboration with church leaders, educators, and parents, collectively reinforcing the teaching of Biblical truths to the younger generation.

"We aim to equip our children to carry forward God's mission as we anticipate His imminent return," said Danita Caderma, Children's Ministry Director of the Adventist Church in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD). "It's our duty to nurture them, providing both knowledge and love, so they may mature fully in spirit and truth," she added.

The current objective for the Alive in Jesus curriculum is to initiate its rollout in 2025, starting with materials designed for ages 0 to 3 years old. The following release dates are for materials for kindergarteners and primary students in 2026, juniors and early teens in 2027, and youth in 2028.
